Privacy Policy

Every reminder an admin sets up with /hydro is one record. A server can have a text reminder in any number of channels and one voice reminder, and each record holds:

• Your server ID
• The reminder type (voice or text) and the channel ID
• The interval
• The IDs of the roles to mention (text reminders only)
• The Discord user ID of the admin who set it up
• When it next fires and when it was last changed

Reminders are kept in a database on the server that runs Hydro. Nothing is stored on your device, and nothing is written to your Discord server beyond the reminders themselves.

Those records are the whole of it. Hydro keeps no data about other members, no message content and no voice audio.

• It does not read messages. Hydro uses no privileged intents, so Discord never sends it message content, member lists or presence.
• It does not listen. Hydro joins voice channels self-deafened, so Discord sends it no audio.
• It does not track you. No analytics, no telemetry, no advertising.
• It does not share data. Nothing is sold or passed to third parties.

A reminder is deleted when an admin runs /hydro stop for its channel, when Hydro is removed from the server, or automatically when its channel is deleted or Hydro loses access to it. Nothing is kept afterwards.

To keep the bot running, Hydro writes logs when a reminder is set up, removed, fires or fails. These can include your server and channel names and Discord’s error messages, but never message content, member data or who ran a command. They are used only to run and troubleshoot the service, are not shared and are not kept long term.

Hydro is added with the bot and applications.commands scopes and asks for the permissions below. It never asks for Administrator. Each permission is used for one thing:

• View Channels: to see the channels you pick.
• Send Messages: to post text reminders.
• Connect and Speak: to join a voice channel and play the audio clip.
• Mention @everyone, @here and All Roles: only so that mentioning a role that is not mentionable still notifies its members. You can untick it when adding Hydro; it will warn you at setup if a role you chose needs it.

There is no Hydro account, login, dashboard or sign-up. Everything is configured with the /hydro command inside Discord, and by default only members with the Manage Server permission can run it.

If you write to mail@frmwrk.so, we receive your email address and your message and use them only to reply. We keep the conversation only as long as needed to help you and never add you to a mailing list.

Hydro is not directed at children. The only personal data it stores is the Discord user ID of the admin who ran /hydro, and Discord requires its users to be at least 13. Hydro does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

If we change how Hydro handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
